We are proud of these behaviors and values as they are the contributions and gifts of some of the many people who have been associated with our organization over the years. The D.P. Murphy Inc. Hall of Fame was created to recognize and honor some of these extraordinary people.
A single individual will be selected every year by the Hall of Fame selection committee from a list of eligible nominees. Individuals eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame include: any current employee of D.P. Murphy Inc. (both management and non-management), past employees of D.P. Murphy Inc.,as well as our business and support colleagues from among our franchisors and other business associates.
The selection criteria will be to identify that special individual whose efforts, examples and leadership have significantly contributed to help shape our company's culture, our values, and our proud heritage.
On December 13, 2006, Laurie Dove was named as the forth inductee into the "D. P. Murphy Inc. Hall of Fame". Laurie is a long time employee of D. P. Murphy Inc. She started her career as a Tim Horton's baker and subsequently moved into and started the centralized system for our growing company. Laurie has, over her 23 years, seen the company grow from a small company of three Tim Horton locations on P.E.I., to over almost 30 restaurants and 03 hotels across 4 provinces and 4 brands. Laurie plays an extraordinary role in supporting this growth with reliable and timely financial information and analysis to help us make the right business decisions at the right time. Laurie is also our resident IT expert and was instrumental in developing our in0house Intranet Program. More than all of that, Laurie is always very welcoming and accommodating to the locations at all times lending her support and doing "whatever it takes" to get the job done. She exhibits Guest Courtesy at all times.
Being inducted into the "Hall of Fame" is the highest honor we can bestow upon an individual from our company. They stand out as instrumental in shaping our company culture and are truly extraordinary individuals. Laurie Dove is a very deserving individual and it is an honor to present her with this award. Congratulations Laurie!
