Easter Seal Ambassador

At a Rotary Luncheon on January 14, our 2019 Easter Seal Ambassador was announced. He is 13 year old Ty MacLeod from Summerside! Ty is a Grade 7 student at Athena Consolidated School. A proud Islander, Ty has Down Syndrome but that doesn't stop him from doing all the things he loves - listening to music, dancing, playing basketball and video games, dancing, strumming his guitar & keyboard, cheering his sister's hockey games, etc. Ty is very sociable and is comfortable in a crowd. Ty's world is about to get a lot more crowded and hectic as he dons the coveted Ambassador's cap and makes speeches and appearances to Islanders in the coming months. One of Ty's biggest events will be our 40th Annual Tim Hortons Easter Seal Ambassador's School Tour taking place from April 24 to May 1st. Ty will be visiting all school across the Island delivering his message which is "The Sky Is The Limit". Ty and his loved ones are excited about his role as Ambassador.

By supporting Bowl for Kids Sake, we help ensure that Big Brothers Big sisters can provide high quality mentoring programs for their clients. Ambassador’s School Tour

The 39th Annual Tim Horton Easter Seals Ambassador's School Tour has ended and once again it was a smashing success! Over six days from April 18 - 25 our Easter Seal Ambassador Brayden White and his entourage visited 65 schools to raise funds and awareness for the campaign. Thanks to their tireless efforts a total of $39,714.50 was raised! I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to Brayden for doing such an amazing job, greeting everyone with a bright smile and being an inspiration to everyone he meets. Brayden is 12 years old and has Down Syndrome. He had no problem delivering his message at every school he visited - "Be Brave, Never Give Up!" I also want to say thank you to Brayden's Dad Melvin Ford and the rest of his family for being at his side every step of the way. A huge thank you to all Island teachers, students and parents for your continued support of Easter Seals.
